About

A consultancy that builds software for how MSPs actually operate.

Not a software agency. Not an AI company. A small, specialized engineering consultancy that understands the MSP business model and builds internal software around it.

What We Are

What Managed Intelligence Labs does

Managed Intelligence Labs is a specialized technology consultancy. We design and build custom internal applications, systems integrations, and workflow automation for MSPs and IT service organizations.

The problems we focus on are specific: manual processes that exist between systems, billing and licensing reconciliation workflows that still depend on spreadsheets, operational data that lives in systems but can't be easily accessed or combined, and internal tooling that no off-the-shelf product was designed to provide.

We work primarily with MSPs and IT service companies that run PSA platforms, RMM tools, Microsoft environments, distributor relationships, and service desk operations. We understand how these businesses are structured and what their operational challenges look like in practice.

Our work is engineering-led. We write production software. We design integration layers that respect the business logic of the companies we work with. We build things that have to work reliably, every month, in a production environment.

How We Think

The principles behind how we work

Specific over impressive

We look at what your team actually does today (the exports, the manual steps, the workarounds) before we suggest a solution. Real workflows, not hypothetical use cases.

Software over automation theater

Automation that is fast but wrong is worse than no automation. We build systems that are accurate and auditable, not systems that look impressive until they make a billing error.

AI where it earns its place

We use language models when they provide a genuine advantage over conventional software. Financial logic, billing reconciliation, and production writes use deterministic code with explicit validation.

Controls by design

Consequential operations (anything that writes to a live system) use staged execution: dry run, validate, human approval, production. This is not optional overhead; it is how production software should work.

Small and focused

We stay small deliberately. The companies we work with get direct access to the people building their software. No account managers between the client and the engineer.

Built to last

Internal software that is adopted and maintained is worth more than a proof of concept that works once. We build things that can be handed off, extended, and operated by your team.

Who We Work With

Built for MSPs and IT service organizations

Our initial focus is MSPs and IT service companies (typically 20 to 250 employees) that operate at scale and have outgrown the workflows their current platforms can support.

What they frequently lack is the internal software layer that makes those systems work together: the custom tooling that automates what still happens manually between them.

If your team exports spreadsheets to reconcile billing, produces management reports by combining data from multiple systems, or has important operational workflows that still depend on a person doing the same steps every month, we're probably a relevant conversation.

Work With Us

Start with the workflow that costs you the most time.

We don't need a formal brief. Show us the spreadsheet, the process, or the gap and we'll tell you whether we can help.
